CT Immigration Forum: Building a Community of Allies

<p><span>Doors open at 5:30 p.m., Community Health Center, 675 Main St., Middletown.&nbsp; Erin O'Neal-Baker and Glenn Formica will share vital information from the legal perspective as they explain the challenges that all immigrants face in coming to the United States. Immigration activist and Operator of the immigrant Care Plan for the Consulate of Ecuador Jason Ramos, and Community Activist Jos&eacute; Diaz are two young people who will speak about the direct effect current policies have had on their families. Pastor Paul Fleck, organizer of New Sanctuary CT, will speak about his work in helping houses of worship to become houses of sanctuary. Psychologist Karen Dworski will speak about the traumas faced by adult and child immigrants facing deportation. Attendees will learn about the many volunteer opportunities that exist to help immigrants in the community who may need it.</span><br /><span>&nbsp;</span></p>
