<p>There will be a Solidarity Gathering and Legislative round table discussion on Saturday, February 4th beginning at 9:00 am at the Unitarian-Universalist Society:East, 153 West Vernon Street, Manchester, CT.</p> <p>The gathering is to show support for the Home Health Care Worker/Aging with Dignity campaign that UACT has joined. The Naugatuck Valley Project, the Brazilian Worker's Center, the Office of Catholic Social Justice Ministry of the Archdiocese of Hartford, SEIU Local 1199 and the Unitarian-Universalist Society:East have all partnered to expand on the Domestic Worker's Bill of Rights that passed the Connecticut state legislature last year. &nbsp;The coalition is submitting a bill, the Quality Jobs for Quality Care Act to the legislature this year with the objective of improving the in home care of the elderly by improving the quality of the jobs for those giving the care.</p> <p>The group will review the draft of the Quality Jobs for Quality Care Act (formerly the Connecticut Domestic Worker's Bill of Rights), and strategize about the legislative campaign from 9:00 am till noon. &nbsp;State Legislators have been invited and will participate in a round table discussion from noon to 1:00&nbsp;</p>
